About AKANADA

“Akanada merges Canadian and Ghanaian experiences of process and project development, hence Akanada – a fusion in name of the local clans of Ghana and Canada. In a world where capital has long been globalized and mineral needs transnational, Ghana as an investment destination for mineral asset development was a foregone conclusion, given its global leadership standing in mineral deposits.”

Our Mission

Akanada’s mission is to identify and advance mineral opportunities in Ghana through diligent project assessments, strong local partnerships, and international capital investment.

How we structure an opportunity

  1. Identify the opportunity

Establish the asset, rights holder, project stage, and available evidence.

  2. Map the diligence

Identify the technical, legal, environmental, community, and commercial questions that need answers.

  3. Define each party’s role

Clarify what the rights holder, investor, operator, and Akanada could contribute.

  4. Shape the transaction

Evaluate an acquisition, joint venture, or partnership against funding needs, milestones, responsibilities, and approvals.

The right structure depends on the project.

Akanada seeks partners with concession holders, other mining companies, investors, operators and other strategic counterparts. The right structure depends on the asset, its stage and the interests of the parties.

We aim to define responsibilities, diligence needs and potential terms clearly before a project moves forward.
